As we head towards the new season, the development of the new site has definitely entered the 'fit and finish' phase, with a focus on layout and navigation improvements, and some small touches aimed at potential new members:
- On PC, the Latest News and Match Reports pages now have a magazine-style layout instead of straightforward lists of posts
- The top navigation bar has been reworked, with a dedicated 'Contact Us' button and 'sticky' behaviour; if you scroll or swipe down a page, it disappears, but if you start to move up again, it slides back into view. This is particularly handy on a mobile phone.
- A new, dismissible overlay provides quick access to our contact and venue details. Again, this is particularly useful on mobile; about 50% of our visitors are on phones, not PCs.
- The top header section on the homepage now gently cycles through a set of images, whereas previously it was a single image. If you have images from around the club you think would look great here, please send them to me!
- ... and some other small changes in font-sizing and consistency across the site.
