Chess returns to the Guildhall on Thursday, 9th July, combining a round of the Lichfield Summer Chess League with social chess.
The Summer League has been subject to a number of fixture changes this season and the 9th July fixtures were originally planned as the last of the five rounds, but two other rounds have now been re-scheduled.
With six teams of four players, there will be 24 players in the upper end of the Guildroom, but this will still leave plenty of room for social chess. Both Lichfield teams will be keen to continue the good form shown in the first two rounds.
After Thursday, the Guildhall will next open for chess on Thursday 27th August when the popular Quickplay Tournament will be staged. The event regularly attracts between 25 and 35 competitors.
