There have been some small, but significant updates to the Lichfield website over the last few weeks. These updates are aimed at giving club members easier access to the latest information from the new league chess season:
Division pages for league chess
- Every division that will feature a Lichfield or Burton & Lichfield team in the Birmingham, Cannock, Wolverhampton and Derby leagues in 2026-7 now has its own page, linked to from the League Chess page. The page will contain fixtures, results, and league tables for that division. Once fixtures are finalised for the new season and the season begins, division pages will automatically update with the latest information.
- Each of the division pages also features a 'Subscribe in Calendar app' link. This will give members an option to subscribe to the Lichfield fixtures in that division in a calendar app or online service e.g. Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. No more excuses for forgetting a fixture!
League Ladder page
- The League Ladder is a hotly contested annual competition between Lichfield players to see who can win the most league games in a season. There is now a separate page for the League Ladder, again linked to from the League Chess page. The information on the League Ladder page will update automatically as the season progresses.
