Four Lichfield players played in the MCCU County Championship U1650 match for Staffordshire against Warwickshire on Saturday 19th September, with three of them contributing towards a 7.5 - 3.5 victory by winning their individual games.
Albert Chacko (on Board 1), Peter Rose (Board 3) and captain Connor Whetnall (Board 9) all defeated their opponents. Richard Ayres also played on Board 6, but lost his game.
Well done to all of the players for the convincing match victory, especially the three junior players from other clubs (Aarav, Cristian-Gabriel and Ryan) who between them scored 2.5/3.
