B&L 'E' defeated at Belper
Derbyshire Chess Association League Division 4
The combined Burton & Lichfield 'E' team were, somewhat surprisingly, defeated in their Away match against Belper 'F'. Despite outgrading their opponents, Graeme Drayton, playing on Board 3, was B&L's only winner on the night, with Richard Ayres, Phil Goater and Ivan Wright all losing their respective games. Phil's game was last to finish, with his eventual loss confirming the match victory for Belper.
B&L 'E' will hope for better in their next match against Derby 'E' in early November. (Match played: 14th October)
