Lichfield 'D' secured their first Wolverhampton League Division 3 point of the season with a hard-fought drawn match against Warley Quinborne 'C' at The Guildhall.
It was the proverbial "match of two halves" with Lichfield's top two boards, Emilie Nastase and Andrei Pinzaru, both losing their games, while Lichfield's lower board players, Mike Hoare and Connor Whetnall, both won. Connor's win extended his lead in The League Ladder; he already has an amazing 10 wins in league chess this season.
