Burton & Lichfield's Derby Division 4 side defeated Derby 'E' in convincing fashion at The Burton Bridge on Monday, with the match ending in a 3.5 - 0.5 win for the home team. It was the team's first win of the season following defeats in their first two matches.
Connor Whetnall (Board 2) racked up yet another win in his brilliant season, with Graeme Drayton (Board 3) and junior Piotr Majcher (Board 4) also winning their games. Graeme's win was the standout result of the night, defeating a player who significantly outgrades him. Richard Ayres drew his Board 1 game.
